American Idol

American Idol is one of America's top viewed shows. A number of contestants nationwide struggle to earn that slight chance of becoming a "solo singer superstar." The show is hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and the contestants are judged by Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell. These three judges determine who will be the next contestants by holding auditions nationwide. These judges also critique the contestants and give them their opinion on their performance, but in the end it is the viewers votes that determine who will move on to the next round. Millions of viewers across the nation interact to support the performers with their votes.
